Sea To Summit Alto TR2 tent 2024

The Alto TR2 for two people is a semi-independent tent perfect for hikers who want to reduce weight and want a very comfortable shelter.

The Alto's innovative tensioned ridge architecture allows for extra-high doors and vertical walls that create unparalleled space. Apex vents, located at the highest part of the tent, effectively expel humid air and minimise condensation, while the adjustable double roof can be rolled up on either side for stargazing and then quickly unfolded from inside the tent. One night will convince you that the Alto is on a higher level than other ultralight tents.

Tension ridge
Tension Ridge poles face upwards, like the dihedral wing of an aircraft, rather than downwards as is often the case with tents. This improves the shape of the tent, offering much more head and shoulder room, higher doors, easier access and more usable space in the vestibule.

Quick-coupling pole feet
Typical of Sea to Summit's commitment to fine-tuning details to make equipment more functional and friction-free, these machined aluminium clips make mounting the rain cover (with an inner tent or footprint in an ultra-light configuration) quick and easy. And they are much stronger than plastic buckles.

Modular storage / light bar
Each Sea to Summit tent is contained in three storage bags so that the load can be easily distributed. During set-up, two bags turn into storage pockets for tools, while the pole bag (with translucent diffuser) becomes a light bar. Add one or two front lamps for soft lighting throughout the tent.

Apex ventilation/ base ventilation
Mounted at the highest point, Apex vents allow warm, moist air to escape and channel fresh air into the tent. The vent can be easily closed from inside the tent and does not require mesh to maintain its shape, greatly improving airflow. The Baseline vent allows you to control humidity in humid conditions by opening or closing the lower part of the door, maintaining the vestibule function and rain protection for your equipment.

Unrivalled versatility
The tent folds down into two waterproof and durable eVentĀ® bags with StretchLoc straps for reliable and flexible assembly and even weight distribution.

Space
The Tension Ridge architecture offers a better space-to-weight ratio than any other tent in its category.

Ventilation
An advanced ventilation system improves air circulation and reduces condensation.
