Sea To Summit Ether Light XR Pro Insulated inflatable mattress 2025

An evolution of the renowned Ether Light mats has arrived with the XR Pro

Staying true to its comfort, durability, the XR Pro boasts ThermalCore technology which increases insulation value while keeping weight and packed volume minimal. Air Sprung Cell construction provides 10cm of plush comfort wherever you sleep. Inflation and deflation are a breeze with the XPRESS valve and Airstream pump built into the stuff sack. With double the weld strength of previous models the XR Pro is perfect for alpine adventurers to winter campers. Outdoor winter sleep never felt this good.

Thermal Core Insulation
Thermal Core insulation uses a single or multiple layers of TRM material to reflect warmth back to the sleeper. The TRM layers reduce internal air movement, and the smaller die cuts, compared to prior models, reduce this further still. The result is a significant increase in both R-Value and in real-world insulation performance, while reducing weight and packed volume.

XPRESS Valve
Sea to Summit developed the XPRESS Valve to make inflation, deflation and adjustment of its air mats quicker and simpler than conventional air mats. The valve integrates a one-way inflate port, a rapid dump deflate port and a fine-tune button into a single, low-profile unit. The XPRESS valve fits the nozzle of the Airstream pump integrated into the stuff sack supplied with your Sea to Summit Air Sprung Cell sleeping mat. (Pro Tip-turn the inflator bag of the sleeping mat pump inside out to reveal a nozzle sized perfectly for the mini-XPRESS valve of an Aeros Pillow).

ASTM F3340 R-Value Testing
To ensure that you will be warm when you sleep (especially when the ground is colder), it is essential to know how well your sleeping mat resists heat loss into the ground. This resistance is known as an R-Value. A laboratory-tested R-Value is the only way to measure resistance to heat loss. Sea to Summit has always provided independent lab-tested R-Values for its sleeping mats. Since January 2020 we have used the industry standard ASTM F3340 test to provide R-Values for our mats. There are several other factors which will determine how well a sleeping mat will insulate, but the standardized ASTM R-Value test means you can compare resistance to heat loss in sleeping mats across different brands.

Integrated Airstream
The Airstream Pumpsack is Sea to Summit's big volume mattress pump which we've now integrated into the stuff sack of every Air Sprung Cell mat. The clever design opens at one end to stow the air mat and the other end unfolds to become the built-in pump. The Airstream Pumpsack can be inflated with a single breath and takes just two or three cycles to fill our mats. Not only is it faster than inflation by mouth, but there is minimal breath condensation entering the mat and it eliminates dizziness from blowing the mat up directly by mouth. The Airstream Pumpsack is also compatible with Sea to Summit's smaller multifunction valve, which is now featured on the updated Aeros pillow range, along with the Air Seats.

Pillow Lock System
The Pillow Lock System comprises of self-adhesive hook-and-loop patches which are supplied with all Sea to Summit sleeping mats (as of Spring 2019). Attached to your sleeping mat, these patches secure your pillow and prevent it slipping – yet they will not snag on clothing or other lightweight fabrics. All Sea to Summit Pillows (as of Spring 2019) are compatible with this system. Existing pillows can be made Pillow Lock compatible by adding an Aeros Pillow Case.
